Co-delivery classroom session for teachers and support staff CPD

The team deliver a range of in-school co-delivery classroom sessions with pupils/ students alongside school staff members.

Details

Primary lesson topics available are:
- Body Image;
- Digital Wellbeing;
- Puberty;
- Puberty and conception;
- Respectful relationships.

Secondary lesson topics available are:
- Healthy relationships;
- Sex, consent and the law;
- Understanding contraception;
- Understanding STIs;
- Unintended pregnancy and decision making.

Co-delivery sessions enable teachers, and support staff, to maintain, improve and broaden their knowledge and skills on a particular PSHE/ RSHE topic. The sessions also help to develop the personal qualities and confidence required to deliver effective lessons.

Co-delivery sessions allow teachers to observe best practice, deliver sessions alongside an experienced professional and have follow up time to ask questions and discuss any feedback.

- Increased subject knowledge;
- Enhanced skills in delivering PSHE/ RSHE lesson;
- Increased confidence in dealing sensitive topics.

Booking information

- Schools that purchase a Full SLA have one complementary session included in their package. - All other schools can purchase a session from £90 - with discounts for multiple delivery in the same school on the same day. To book this session please book via the Services section in the store on Leeds for Learning or e mail schoolwellbeing@leeds.gov.uk to discuss your needs. Please note that there is an additional £30 cost for single bookings for Puberty/ Puberty & conception sessions as these require two trainers to deliver split delivery.
