Evidencing Personal Development in your school using the Healthy Schools framework.

This training is for primary and secondary PSHE, Healthy Schools and Personal Development leads and will support you to embed an effective whole school approach, ensuring positive health and wellbeing outcomes for children and young people.

You will explore links between the Healthy Schools framework and Personal Development and how to evidence this.

There will also be an opportunity to share good practice.

This session will explore the Healthy Schools framework and support you to develop, map and evidence provision linked to Personal Development.

  • Please note that drinks/refreshments, including lunch are not provided at this session. Delegates are however, welcome to bring their own lunch and refreshments. (Hot and cold water will be available).

Outcome

  • Understand the process of adopting a whole school approach to health and wellbeing,
  • Explore how Character Education, British Values and SMSC links to the Healthy Schools framework and supports the Personal Development programme,
  • Investigate a range of tools to evaluate health and wellbeing outcomes for pupils, such as the School Health Check and the My Health, My School Survey,
  • Explore different ways to evidence your Personal Development programme,
  • Hear school experiences from recent inspections,
  • Identify next steps for yourself and your school setting.

Venue:Public Health Resource Centre training room, Technorth, 9 Harrogate Road, Chapel Allerton, Leeds, LS7 3NB.

Cost: £275 per delegate

Schools with a current Health & Wellbeing SLA may be entitled to pre-paid places subject to sufficient available training credits.

The full 'pay as you go' price will be applied if you have insufficient training credits.

Cancellations: If you cancel your booking we require at least 5 working days notice. Failure to provide such notice or non attendance will result in your school being charged in full if using ‘pay as you go’. Leeds schools with a full or basic SLA package who do not inform us within 5 working days will incur an administration charge of £30/delegate
