Details

Workshops:

1. Sexual Health
Good sexual health is an integral part of young people’s emotional, physical and mental health.
This session will:

    • explore the current issues in the city;
    • explain the key role the young people’s workforce have in promoting positive sexual health and relationships;
    • provide an overview of the support on offer in the city, covering recent service changes and online options, to enable effective and appropriate signposting.


2. Kooth
This session will cover:

    • what self harm and eating disorders are, and the symptoms to look out for.
    • local Leeds statistics around self-harm and eating disorders.
    • how to support children and young people who self-harm/have eating disorders.
    • how Kooth supports those who self-harm and have eating disorders.
    • case studies.


3. Pol-Ed: To create and maintain external partnerships to enhance our service offer:
Find out how the Pol-Ed (Police-Education) scheme of work can support schools in delivering expertly planned lessons designed to develop a deep awareness of risks, citizenship, and the law. Pol-Ed aims to create a world where children and young people are safe and the impact in schools will inspire a generation of change makers who will help shape a positive, inclusive, and lawful society for everyone.

4. PSHE Association:
Key updates and overview of support from the association.

5. Dr Charlotte Armitage (Media Psychologist) - Understanding the psychological impact of device use on interpersonal development in children and young people:
A session on the impact devices have on the development of key interpersonal skills, and the consequences of this on future occupational, social, emotional, and interpersonal functioning.
You will:

  • develop an understanding of the psychological harms of device use.
  • develop an understanding of how device use impacts the future of children.
  • develop understanding of how device use contributes to mental illness.

Outcome

This virtual session will inspire you and provide up to date information, practical ideas and resources for use in school.

Health & Wellbeing Service Level Agreement (SLA) credit value = 1 credit.

Cost: £139 per delegate.

Schools with a current Health & Wellbeing SLA may be entitled to pre-paid places subject to sufficient available training credits.

The full 'pay as you go' price will be applied if you have insufficient training credits.

Cancellations: If you cancel your booking we require at least 5 working days notice. Failure to provide such notice or non attendance will result in your school being charged in full if using ‘pay as you go’. Leeds schools with a full or basic SLA package who do not inform us within 5 working days will incur an administration charge of £30/delegate.
