This eLearning course is for leaders in Early Years settings within schools, for Nursery teachers and staff and for private providers of Early Years education. It introduces the new Early Years website and will provide information on how to self-validate for Healthy Schools Early Years status.

This eLearning explores the new Healthy Schools Early Years website and explains how to complete the self-validation programme using the online self- audit tool. The online tool enables a school to self-evaluate health and wellbeing across the 5 areas of Leadership, Ethos and Environment, Healthy Eating, Physical Activity and Personal, Social, Emotional Development (PSED) This course covers how to make best use of the website.

Outcome

• Understand the features of the website and be able to navigate the different sections.
• Have a detailed overview of the online self-review tool. You will then be able to use this online self-review tool to self- validate for Healthy Schools Early Years status.
