Waste & Recycling Assembly for Reception, KS1 & KS2 pupils

The aim of the Waste & Recycling assembly is for pupils to learn about the importance of looking after the earth’s finite natural resources and helping to prevent damage to our planet and harm to animals through exploring the different types of waste that can be recycled in Leeds through the domestic waste recycling scheme.

Curriculum Links

Learning about waste and recycling supports a range of National Curriculum subjects including Science, Geography and PSHE (incl Citizenship). Numeracy, Literacy and Art also provide appropriate opportunities for waste and recycling to provide a focus of study.
