Climate Action Route Map

The Climate Action Route Map (CARM) for schools and settings supports school senior leaders to provide high quality climate education through 10 steps based on established good practice and evidence of what works.

The CARM is intended to inspire and support schools and settings’ contribution to the provision of high quality climate education and associated climate action in school through steps such as:

• designating a member of SLT with a remit for Climate Education,

• reviewing current school provision and curriculum for learning about Climate Education,

• increasing opportunities for greater pupil voice and participation on an issue that motivates children and young people, and

• developing a school climate education statement.
